Well, there's a reason why I don't sketch like this very often because.. it ain't easy to sketch like this damnit!! ahem... ^^;

but i definately like how this turned out to be, most of it is what I intended to have down on the paper in my head initially, just the only cock-ups is the gun and his hands, obviously they're out of proportions together... I mean, i hands are bigger than the gun and I don't even know what a gun looks like... :P oh well, thank goodness for improvisation

but generally this is a thank you to who apparently now watches bt it's because she's an inspiration to my work, especially my Sonic Work since she works the pen/pencils alike work like a charm =D

Wow! I remember seeing this piece a long time ago, and now I can finally critique it :)
I think the pose is very well done, and can easily join in to the several bad-ass poses SEGA has already forced Shadow into vault. The fact the background only goes so far, and then leaves the hand off is a very 3D enhancing effect as well, and I like that most of all.
His spines, particularly the white makes it appear shiny, and I think that it was a very wise choice, because especially with characters like Shadow where they're all one color mostly and the background is a similar if not same, it wont look good. You managed to pull it off nicely and make it add to the pictures overall impact.

This is a very nice one :) And a proud addition to the Shadow fanart seen here on DA. Nice job *goldhedgehog ;)

This sketch is BEAUTIFUL!!! I LOVE the expression, the lines and.. and.. fuck, I love it X3 So much.
A good thing for drawing guns is to do one of three things- find reference pics, buy a real gun or what I did, which was to buy a toy gun with real proportions. The gun sure is tiny in comparision to Shadow's hand XD But then again, it's still a beautiful sketch. I'd love to see more of there.. it's.. great job.

Beautiful and stylish.

Ears are a bit too big and his right spikes don't look right. I would've hidden them or at least turned them inwards.

But that doesn't deter just how brilliant this is.

The detail on the gun is good and the pose is a difficult but well pulled off one. If the green emerald was in his free hand it would've really brought Shadow to life more.
