I've been checking up on the Sonic channel at sega.jp then realised they had a little macromaedia flash site for the next-gen sonic game which featured the appearance of Sonic TEAM's new and third official hedgehog; 'Silver the Hedgehog'. After browsing the site for like 2 hours or so (dial-up internet y'know....) I felt the urge to draw Silver when I should've done that when the rumors first started about Sonic's new game.

And so, here it is. I might continue with an actual Illustration of Silver and scrap this afterwards.

I'm thinking of doing up prints, since I need to start making money on the side for myself and I don't think a part-time job is going to be enough. More of that another time (family issues).

No critiques needed in particular, will be scraped but critique if you feel the need.

I haven't yet had a good look at him yet. I only used this place for the reference http://sonic.sega.jp/sonic/ I still need to practice drawing his gear and what not, I like his bracelets the most, they're pretty interesting.

If you do prints on DA do you actually get money?or just half?I think it would look cool as a print :D

Nice work. I don't see anything wrong with these. But I imagine that the hair must have been a pain. Believe me, it was a pain for me when I tried it. XD

well, if I only release my stuff as prints alone, I only get 10% profit whereas if I am to get a print account, I get 50%. It's never full because of terms of agreement, blah blah, The site is used for the retail sale of your work therefore their entity to part of the profit made, blah blah. Not so sure how it is but it goes something like that.
